Why Attend?

Understanding Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) is vital for minimising costs and maximising staff remuneration through effective salary packaging. This workshop covers the latest updates, including exemptions for Electric Vehicles (EVs) used privately, and provides practical strategies to strengthen your tax risk governance and internal controls.

Key Focus Areas:

  • FBT Updates and Rulings: Stay current with the latest FBT regulations and ATO rulings.
  • FBT Basics: Learn when a taxable benefit arises and the foundational principles of FBT.
  • Exemptions and Concessions: Discover strategies to reduce your FBT liability through various exemptions and concessions.
  • Types of Fringe Benefits: Focus on motor vehicles and entertainment benefits, with special attention to Electric Vehicles.
  • Salary Packaging: Utilise FBT exemptions and concessions to maximise employee tax benefits.
  • Remuneration Banding Impact: Learn how salary packaging affects pay structures and complies with SAT banding requirements.
  • Reporting Obligations and Administration: Ensure compliance with ATO reporting guidelines and streamline your FBT administration processes.

Engage in discussions on current issues, practical tips, and participate in interactive scenarios. Our workshop encourages audience participation to maximise learning and apply concepts directly to your local government context.
